Pueraria Mirifica is found at altitudes between 300 and 800 m in the forests of Chiengmai Province, in Thailand. Traditionally the extract of Pueraria Mirifica roots has been used in Thai folklore for its rejuvenating properties in seniors due to its high estrogenic potency.
Pueraria Mirifica or Kwao Keur has tubers of different colors (white, red and black). Different tuber colors differ in their degree of action. Black has the strongest action and rejuvenating potency.
Active compounds
Pueraria Mirifica contains phytoestrogens. They are plant substances with estrogen-like activity.
Due to its estrogenic activity, this herb is believed to be excellent and safe in the treatment for preventing, or therapeutic for the symptoms related to estrogen deficiency in menopausal women and menopausal men.
Once the tubers of this plant have been sun-dried, the powdered tubers are mixed with honey and small pills are made from the mixture.
